Our community has been through a lot over the last few months, and all of us are looking forward to resuming our normal routines. While many things have changed, one thing has remained the same: our commitment to your safety.
Infection control has always been a top priority for our practice. Our office follows infection control recommendations made by the American Dental Association (ADA), the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).
You may see some changes when it is time for your next appointment. These are just some of the ways we will be safely moving forward for the protection of our staff and our patients:
- Our office will communicate with you beforehand to ask some screening questions. You’ll be asked those same questions again when you arrive at the office.
* * * * * - Patients are asked to wait in their vehicle upon arrival and call the front desk to notify us that you have arrived.
* * * * * - Patient temperatures will be taken by staff using a digital forehead thermometer before entering the office.
* * * * * - Patients are not to join family members for appointments.
* * * * * - We require patients to wear masks before and after treatment.
* * * * * - We have hand sanitizer that we will ask you to use when you enter the office.
* * * * * - We are not utilizing our waiting room and do not offer magazines or children’s toys at this time.
* * * * * - Appointments will be managed to allow for social distancing between patients, and to allow for stronger disinfection protocol between patients.
* * * * * - We will do our best to allow greater time between patients to reduce waiting times for you, as well as to limit the number of patients in the lobby area at any one time.
* * * * * - Dentists and staff will wear enhanced protective equipment.
* * * * * - Dentists and staff temperatures are recorded each day upon reporting to and leaving from work. Employees with any sign of any illness will be sent home.
* * * * * - Air purifiers with HEPA filters have been added to each room.
